Distillery in the heart of the Vale
The first thing you notice when you drive or cycle past Neat Spirits is our huge lush green lawn – hugging the Flat to Vale Trail and stretching down Foggo Road.
Next is the lime green arm chairs, designed for afternoons in the sun. And finally, the towering gum trees and swathe of white umbrellas, providing shady nooks to relax and re-set with your favourite people.
In a nutshell, a laid-back, unpretentious gin distillery in McLaren Vale made for long, easy afternoons – or ‘start the party’ mornings. Step inside and explore our range of small-batch spirits including Sunshine Citrus Gin, Berry Bliss Gin, Raspberry Tart and The Golden One Caramel Vodka, alongside indulgent vodka liqueurs - Salted Caramel, Sista Barista Espresso Coffee; Lemon, Lime & Bitters and Tropicana. We’ve also got a mean 3-year-old Whisky, and a Limoncello nonna would be proud of. But that’s not all…… Neat Spirits is co-located with Foggo Wines and Fortifieds, so you can wander next door and try some amazing full-bodied Shiraz, Grenache, Cabernet, Old Bush Vine Grenache, Lustre Blanc Sparkling, Moscato or Floraison Rose. Foggo also has a range of aged fortified – more than any other winery in McLaren Vale to our understanding. You can order a glass of wine, Wine Flight or Fortified Flight to enjoy on the lawns. Perfectly positioned half way along the Vale to Flat Trail (yes, it’s perfectly okay to enjoy gin-o-clock from 10am onwards), Neat Spirits is an easy stop for walkers and cyclists exploring McLaren Vale. Pull up a lime green armchair, stretch out across the lawns, or gather your group under the shade with a gin or vodka flight, or one of our famous $15 cocktails — think Gin Mojitos, Raspberry Sours and Appletini Crumble. Open Saturdays from October to May, we welcome big groups, dogs and unhurried afternoons.
